I just got my rescue puppy last night. 14 weeks. She's mostly a black lab with a tiny touch of pit bull (I think). It's like having a toddler all over again, she's already following me around everywhere. I think I know what you mean about the rescuing being the other way around.
Good deal! Enjoy it...and countdown the days until she loses her puppy teeth so it does not feel like needles every time she grabs your hand. (Our Newfie is a BIG hand grabber!)
I hand fed our African Grey and wasn't his favorite, he doesn't dislike me and he likes to spend time with me, but he loves my husband. That's ok though because our Sengal loves me and does not like my husband (jealousy issues).. Nice that you spend your work day with your birds.
