Award–winning romantic suspense and horror author, Rhonda Hopkins, has learned firsthand that truth is stranger than fiction. Her two decades of experience as an investigator for her state and family courts give her characters a depth and realism that gives truth a run for its money.
I do have a novel that I'm planning to have out by the end of the year if all goes well. It's called ILLUSION OF SAFETY. It's a suspense with romantic elements. I've attached the cover for it. Here's the blurb:
Desperate times call for desperate measures…
After witnessing an ex-cop brutally murder his estranged wife, Tori Matthews, a family court investigator, escapes the couples’ home with their seven-year-old daughter. In fear for the child’s life, as well as her own, she struggles to keep them both safe.
A killer on the hunt…
James Baxter blames Tori for the break-up of his marriage and the loss of his child. He vows that nothing will stop him from getting his daughter back and exacting his revenge.
A race against time…
Both detectives with the Forth Worth P.D., Tori’s brother and his best friend, Caleb Simmons, want to find Baxter before it’s too late. While the search mounts, Tori and Caleb realize there's more to their relationship than just friendship.
Can they survive the roller coaster race to save an innocent child and stop a determined killer?
The one thing I'm most proud of on my blog is my Authors Give Back series on Tuesdays where authors talk about their favorite charities and why they believe they're important. http:// rhondahopkins.com/category/ authors-give-back.

Natalie G. Owens got her first taste of serious writing by penning award–winning poetry, as well as feature articles for college and local publications, in her native Malta. She sold her first book to a small publisher in 2007 and is currently indie published. Her favorite stories to write are romances with a dark edge featuring brooding heroes, strong heroines, exotic settings, and a good dash of fantasy. Daydreaming tops her list of hobbies, followed by reading, cooking, traveling, sharing good times with family and friends, and ogling shoe store displays. ReplyDeleteTodd, I appreciate all your hard work this week. Rhonda, Natalie, and Tamara--I enjoyed learning more about you ladies. Tamara, I didn't realize you had so many books out! :D
ReplyDeleteHi, Catie! I just released two within a month of each other, although one had been finished for 3/4 of a year. It's great getting to learn more about you, too!
DeleteI just finished reading Tales From The Mist and the stories in this anthology are totally awesome. Creepy and scary and everything this reader wants in a horror novel. Kudos to all of the authors for their wonderful stories!
ReplyDeleteI'll tell y'all something. That Todd Brown fella's pretty smart guy. He's got three of the best indie authors on his page at the same time! Not to mention three of my favorite peeps.
ReplyDeleteI was about to say how Y'alls' (Woohoo! Double Contraction!) stories were my favorites, but all of them are really good, so can they all be my favorites?
I'll take that as a yes.
Nice to get a glimpse of you all, up close and personal!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you all here! And thank you, Todd, for letting us take over your blog. :)
