Happy Halloween! Today, it is all about me!

Sunsets are sweeter from home.

Okay, that is only partially true. For those of you who have been waiting for the new DEAD: Reclamation to be released...THE WAIT IS OVER! Book 10 of the DEAD series is now out there and ready for you to consume with your eyes.

This was a tough one for me. A lot of emotion went into the writing and I had to stop a few times and sit back after a scene and wonder if it would hit readers as hard as it hit me. No amount of worry overwhelmed me as I hit the final keystroke. But I want to take a moment to share something with you.

You made this possible. I still wake up every single day and feel like I am in a dream. I get to do what I love for a living. I have a beautiful house, a wonderful wife, an amazing daughter who loves me like crazy and makes my heart swell every single day when we talk on the phone and she says, "I love you, Dad." Trust me when I say that I never imagined this would be my life. My images were much darker...lonelier...and to be honest...sad.

I did not think I would ever sell more than a handful of books each month. To hit 4-figure sales on a single title in a month is something that just floors me! I have expanded beyond just my friends reading my stuff. People all over the world send me emails. For crying out loud, I got an email from a person whop was on a terminal ward saying that MY books eased their pain! How do I respond to that? It is way beyond anything that I deserve.

So, I may have already said this, but it bears repeating...THANK YOU. To my friends, my supporters, and (who would have thunk it!) my fans...YOU ARE MY INSPIRATION. I never want to get to "big" to remember that I am not here without you. An unread book is like shouting in the wind on a deserted island. My books are NOT unread. That is thanks to you.
